Arrogation: Unlight of Day is a horror game developed by Corax_Studios and published by Gamesky Games. Here is the game guidance discovering an uncanny village in the 1980s.

Chapter 1 Yunlin The Main Residence

Get the lighter and a fuel canister when leaving the room. Be aware of the fuel canisters. The light’s won’t be able to illuminate the surroundings as its fuel runs out. Simply press R refuel the lighter with a fuel canister to ignite it again.

Get the Black Drug on the table of the living room and press Q to use it, which can help restore stamina and greatly improve moving speeds in a while.

Answer the phone upstairs and obtain the crowbar in the storage room beside the balcony.

Return to the phone and get the camera. With the camera, the documents once unable to be viewed can now be checked.

Use the crowbar to open the main residence and leave the main residence.

Chapter 1 Yunlin The Iron Gate

Walk along the main road and enter the house through the window. Use the candle to finish the puzzle.

The pattern on the wall is the puzzle hint. Pay attention to the symbols within the inner circle that represent as snuffed-out candles (as marked) and ignited ones (shown as a candle and fire).

Snuff out the four candles accordingly and then, the door will open.

Investigate the house along the road. Crawl through the hole and spot the monster. 

Behind the hole there is an iron gate that cannot be opened. Turn right and climb over the wall to find the gate key.Input

The bird monster appears behind the wall. Turn back and enter the house to hide inside the cabinet.

After the bird monster leaves, it still lingers outside. Rush in to the house ahead at the proper time and pass the narrow gap on the right to get rid of the bird monster.

Go upstairs to work out the music box puzzle. Investigate the music box on the right and listen to the chanting “Flayer Zhou, fifty-seven years old, comes to steal chicken at three o’clock at midnight; we seven play a game to catch him at one time.” The chanting indicates the password: 57371. Enter the password to the box on the left and obtain the key to the iron gate.

Go downstairs and return to the iron gate. Open the gate with the key.

Go upstairs.

A map on the table of the sacrifice room.

Investigate the document on the table and get informed that the Three Ritual Instruments is needed to the sacrifice.

Go downstairs to finish the nine patch puzzle. Its hint is on the chair: 9 is at the top and 1 is at the bottom; 3 is on the left and 7 is on the right; 2 and 4 are on the top corners; 6 and 8 are on the bottom corners.

Change the numbers on the box according to the image and make the sum of three numbers on any row, array or slash equal to 15. Open the box and take the Skull Bowl.

Rush along the main road and avoid two bird monsters. A man near the bonfire is kneeling on the ground. Speak with him and get the offering.

Get the Human Skin Drum in the corner beside the coffin in the house near the bonfire. (The map in the sacrifice room shows the house.)

Return to the sacrifice room and present the three instruments. Then take the candle.

Return to the kneeling man and give him the candle in exchange of the hut key. Enter the hut.

Climb the ladder and jump into the building on the opposite.

Push the crate to the entrance and climb up through the hole above to enter the village committee.

Check the document on the table and get informed that the password to the finance room is written on the office blackboard.

Proceed to the office and see the password on the blackboard.

Go downstairs and use the password 64231 to enter the finance room.

Climb through the ventilation duct and descend to the meeting room. Pick up the axe at the entrance.

The monster is cumbersome. Walk around the table, keep staying behind its back and remain undetected from it.

Hurry up to the office and crack open the lock to take the rounded valve.

Go to the warehouse entrance and close the door. Pick up four wooden planks and use one of them to block the door. Install the valve on the iron door.

The monster will ram the door as the valve is being revolved. When an acute noise of cracking is heard, which means the plank is broken by the monster, stop revolving and block the door with another plank. Repeat this procedure until the iron door is opened by the revolving valve.

“合(the 1st note)四(the 2nd note)乙(the 3rd note)尺(the 4th note)工(the 5th note)” means 12345 in the numbered musical notation. Check the tutorial in the menu at any time if the information is forgotten.

Play the flute to the door and open it by pressing number keys “1523” to enter the underground tunnel.

Discover the sister in the tunnel. Proceed and answer the phone. Walk ahead and climb the ladder. The main residence at the beginning reappears.

Play the flute to open the door.

Pick up the key to the basement on the night table.

Return to the well outside the main residence and descend to the tunnel. Open the door where the phone has just been answered.

The iron gate cannot be opened, and a key is required. Turn back and pass the gap.。

Play the flute to open the door.

Open the door and answer the phone. Take the iron gate key on the table.

Notice the poem collection in the cupboard, where the hint “North, east, west and south” will be useful later.

Exit the room and return to the iron gate by climbing over the wall or passing the gap. Open the gate with the key.

Behind the iron gate is a giant tree, where four lanterns can be lighted. (This is a side quest that can be left unchecked.)

Play the flute to the stone tablet near the tree after lighting the four lanterns.

Pay attention to the nearby sign pointing at north.

Play the flute to the four facets of the tablet according to the four directions “North, east, west and south”. Then, a corpse will fall from the tree, from whom a map can be obtained. The location of the tree can be found on the map. Go to the destroyed bridge above the river and process along river to a grave, where the reward of this side quest is hidden. From there, a passage in the north spreads across the river.

Go to the grave as shown on map and take the cassette on the gravestone.

Then, the mailbox can be interacted with to acquire additional files. There are six mailboxes within the current chapter.

Return to the giant tree and exit the iron gate. There is a mailbox at the initial crossroad.

Return to the river and find a way to traverse it.

Watch through the window and get the password 137349.

Use the password to open the door. Walk through the room and see a mailbox on the exit left.

Rush forward to avoid the bird monster and reach the barbed wire gate locked by iron shackles.

On the gate left there is a mailbox. Another one is located at the left end. Go to the room on the right to get the wire cutter.

Crawl through the fallen bookshelf and see a monster.

Flee to the room at the other end of the corridor and hide in the cabinet.

After the monster has left, return to the room where it once appeared and acquire the wire cutter.

Breach the gate with the cutter. Then, the monster shows up again.

Rush ahead quickly. The first wooden bridge will break; climb up to continue fleeing (Black Drug is recommended here to speed up). An iron frame will fall from above at the second bridge. Crouch at the proper time to dodge the iron frame, and then stand up immediately and rush ahead (Black Drug recommended again).

Enter the maze. Watch for the monster’s hacking after choosing a wrong route. 

After passing the maze, turn right and hide in the pool with dense weeds to elude the monster.

Find opportunities to revolve the valve and open the gate. Hide away when the monster returns and continue revolving when it left. Repeat this procedure. (Actually, players can crouch through the gate after it has been raised to the height shown in the image).

Behind the gate there is a mailbox.

Enter the house and get the factory office key on the chair.

Go across the pool and open the office door with the key.

Enter and turn left to ascend to the 2nd floor.

Hide in the cabinet on the 2nd floor.

The monster will linger downstairs which can be seen through the slits on the floor. As it walks right beneath the huge eyeball, immediately interact with the eyeball, and its goo will drop onto the monster and kill it.

After killing the monster, pick up Uncle Xie’s machete on the 1st floor.

Exist the office and cut off the ropes to release the bridge. Then, proceed to the old warehouse.

There is a mailbox on the right at the other end of the bridge.

Pass the gap and enter the old warehouse. Investigate the black mask, and a monster will appear.

Five notes need to be found and played by the flute to ignite the five torches around the black mask. Then, the seal will be broken.

Get the key to the iron fence on a oil barrel in the corner of the warehouse.

Chased by the monster, a mechanism can be activated to release obstacles to hinder it. One note is on the crate near the mechanism. 

Another note is on the crate inside the iron fence, which should be opened first.

Another two notes are located at conspicuous positions.

The last note can be found along the dim passage. Follow the directions on the image to find it.

Play the five notes with the flute, and the seal will be broken. Take the black mask, and suddenly the monster charges.

Descend from the cliff and turn left to go back to the main residence after waking up.

Opposite to the starting room is the kitchen with an alter behind its door.

Place the black mask on the alter.

Go to the fork and talk to the Lady, the Crane God. The left way leading to a temple, which shall be ignored for now; turn right and proceed ahead.

There is another for waiting ahead. Turn left to secure the pot (Samurai’s Wisdom) in the graveyard; turn right to the end to pick up the katana (Sumarai’s Valor).

Go to the temple and place the pot and katana before the gate, and then, it opens.

The door on the hall right can be opened. Head to that way first.

There is a monster at the end that sprays toxic. Leave it alone, for water ahead can wash off the green poison.

Enter the projection room and use the switch on wall to turn off the light. Number “491” shows up. Remember it, which is useful later. 

Go upstairs. Watch out for the monster and rush into the right door.

Enter the door on the hall left and reach the anatomy room. Investigate the desk, and a Japanese soldier appears.

Quickly hide in the cabinet in the adjacent room.

After the Japanese soldier leaves, proceed forward and open the utility room. Invocation symbols on the ground can be used to shock the Japanese. 

A door in the utility room is blocked by an iron bar. Use the flame-cutting machine to open it later.

Encounter the Japanese on the 2nd floor. Rush straight to the lab with a lot of notes in it. Play the flute to the notes, and invocation symbols will appear on the ground. Attract the Japanese to tread upon them and electrify him.

As the Japanese soldier is stunned by electricity, hurry up playing the score on the wall with the flute. Then, drop into the underground prison.

Investigate the document and collect the body parts of the father. Exit the cell and turn left to find father’s left hand in the cell at the end.

Find his right leg in the opposite cabinet.

Approach the cell beside the starting position, and the Japanese starts to chase. Enter it and get the father’s jaw; escape the Japanese through the ventilation duct.

Crawl through the vent duct and find the father’s right arm on the innermost bed. Leave there, and the Japanese will be held by a zombie. Rush back to the starting position, and return his body parts to the father.

The father will take care of the Japanese soldier. Pick up Solomon’s Ring and Kiyoichi’s Key to listen to the last words of each skeleton.

Touch here to open the tunnel to escape.

Talk with the Lady and acquire the upper half of the Ramesses Cube.

Climb the ladder to return to the hall. Use Kiyoichi’s Key to unlock the distribution box on the wall, which connects the bridge on the 2nd floor.

Go across the bridge and reach the hall left of the 2nd floor where two doors exist. Enter the left door and see a Licker crawling by (tribute to Resident Evil/Biohazard 2).A monster is in the document room. Crouch and proceed slowly. Mind the glass debris on the ground. Step into the inner room to retrieve the secret.

On the way back, the monster has changed its location. Crouch and sneak over there to press the switch. Then, it will leave.

Submit the secret to the intelligence window and proceed forward. Secure the flame-cutting machine behind the drawing on the wall. Use it to cut off the iron chains and open the door.

Push away the bookshelf and return to the place where the Japanese was chasing.

Go downstairs to the utility room and breach the door with the cutting machine.

Avoid the bird monster and proceed inside. The control panel requires a password. Proceed and push the shelf away to descend to the tunnel.

Walk through the courtyard and reach the other building. Go upstairs to the security department. Several combinations of the four buttons exist. Turn one, two, three or four buttons upwards to unlock the cell doors one by one. If interested, try them.

Turn the three buttons on the right and open a cell, where a tunnel is located.

Listen to the last words of a skeleton, and get the password 423223.

Open the door and return to the initial staircase. Go downstairs to enter the password 423223 to the control panel.

Then, the electrical bridge can be operated. The two switches are near the bird monster; pay attention to avoid it.

Operate the two switches to move the electrical bridge, go upstairs and reach Amamiya Tetsuya’s office.

Pick up the key of the deciphering room on the corridor bench and move the bookshelf.

Use the backdoor key to return to the prison cell where the father has killed the Japanese. Then, use the tunnel to return to the hall.

Reach the exhibition room, where a lot of curious things are preserved. Read their descriptions if interested.

Operate the control panel and eliminate the monster inside the room.

After destroying the monster, revolve the valve to open the door.

The master control room of the 7th lab requires password. Take the elevator downwards first.

Arrive at another projection room. Take the film on the table and project it. The number “157” can be seen. Together with previous number “491”, the password of the master control room of the 7th Lab is 491157. (The first projection room is near. Return there to check the former number set.)

Take the elevator upwards and enter the password to gain access to the master control room, where additional Black Drugs are available. Also, the notification of the final boss fight emerges.

Go downstairs and place half of the Ramesses Cube on the blue platform.

Proceed forward. The blue platform here is out of power. Go inside and obtain the liquid-nitrogen fire extinguisher in the innermost room.

Return to the corridor and move upwards. Enter the room and put out the fire. Obtain the component box.

Then, go to the blue platform to reconnect the wires.

Pay attention to the hints on the right. Make the Greek letter in each left circle in one-to-one correspondence with the hints. When power is on, place another half on the blue platform, and the way leading to the final boss is open.

Return upstairs and enter the light sphere.

The boss has three attacking manners.

Beware when the boss raises his hands, he is going to unleash attacks. Running away to either left or right is recommended.

If round dashed lines can be seen during running, it means the boss is unleashing Firestorms that is hard to dodge. Take the Black Drug and dash, for it will be safe outside the dashed lines.

If no dashed lines can be seen, it means the boss only launch a light ball that is easy to dodge by running for a small distance.

Ready the flute when the boss is not attacking. When a light ball appears, a claw will approach. Play the displayed notes with your flute and ward off the claw.

After the claws have been defeated for twice, scores will appear on the stele under the boss. (They could appear randomly on any of the three sides.) Play the scores with you flute. Repeat this procedure (defeating the claw & playing scores) for three times, and the boss will be crushed.
