Yakuza Kiwami 2 – PS4 – 8.0
29, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/996515.shtml
The number of mini games is much more than the previous one, which means, in this case the mini games might be the main course of Yakuza Kiwami 2. The storyline is hot-blooded like usual, but the dramatic performance of Japanese yakuza and the stereotyped characters might still reduce your evaluation. Besides, the combat part is not as good as Kiwami 1, though it maintains a high level overall.
Bridge Constructor Portal – PC – 8.0
28, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/995842.shtml
This title successfully combines the diverse characteristics of two classic games. The key puzzle logic of Portal is now perfectly presented in the world of Bridge Constructor. Although we can find some annoying defects, this game is still worth a try, if you are a fan of any one of this two series.
Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds – PC – 8.6
26, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/995268.shtml
Along with the publishing of 1.0 version, we also get a new desert map, a very practical playback function and many other updates. The completion of PUBG is now higher than ever. However, the connection quality is still bad sometime, and the cheaters are still everywhere in this game. PUBG has a long distance to go before it can be praised as perfect.
Hello Neighbor – PC – 4.0
23, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/991195.shtml
Hello Neighbor is a complete mess with tons of bugs, stupid AI and confusing storyline. The performance is even worse than the demo version.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm – PC – 7.0
22, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/994065.shtml
Due to the different scenario settings, Life is Strange: Before the Storm has to abandon the rewind system which is the most interesting part of the original LiS game. Therefore, this prequel might lack the originality and interactive quality. Luckily, Before the Storm only takes three chapters to tell audience a brilliant story. And the characterization of two different girls Chole and Rachel is impressive. Like the original story, the finale chapter is a mess. But still, Before the Storm is just a simple love story. Maybe most of the player will not judge the logical problem as a very serious faultiness.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – NS – 7.9
20, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/992941.shtml
The evaluation of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is doomed to be polarized. It has many advantages, and can attract a lot of players. Meanwhile, there are plenty of terrible design that can’t be understood in it too, such as lengthy game pace, tedious missions and boring combat. To love or to hate, that is a question.
Okami HD – PC – 9.3
16, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/990912.shtml
Okami HD is a great opportunity for those who never had a chance to try this masterpiece when the original version was released in the last generation to experience the fantastic journey full of traditional Japanese culture in a high graphic performance.
Seven: The Days Long Gone – PC – 5.1
13, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/989914.shtml
As a hardcore RPG, Seven shows us a realistic cyber punk world in a very creative way. It looks like a good game, but a lot of serious bugs and defects of gameplay have ruined it. This game had a nice idea and frame, while the producers failed to make it right.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC2 Champions’ ballad – NS – 9.0
10, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/989033.shtml
The second DLC provides more things to play and experience than the last one, with new combat, new puzzles, new areas to explore, and new story to dig.
Black Mirror – PC – 6.5
6, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/987623.shtml
Black Mirror is a very traditional adventure game. It has some remarkable moments in its narration and puzzle parts, yet boring pace, terrible characterization, clumsy mission design, and tons of bugs have destroyed the experience of the game. But of course, considering we barely can see this kind of games nowadays, we still recommend you to try it, if you are a big fan of AVGs.
Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon – 3DS – 8.0
3, Dec 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201712/986107.shtml
Comparing to the original version, you barely can find any difference in Ultra Sun/Moon. The good part is, USUM keeps the advantages of SM, while the bad part is, many previous faults can still be found in USUM. This is an expansion with no sincerity.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 – PS4 – 7.0
29, Nov 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201711/984425.shtml
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a very stereotyped Lego game. Most of the gameplay part can be found in other Lego series, and the difficulty of this game obviously cannot satisfy hardcore gamers. However, this game is good enough for the target audience. Maybe we don’t need to focus on the overall quality, fun and happiness is the key to its own value.
Sonic Forces – PS4 – 7.7
27, Nov 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201711/983556.shtml
As the latest generation of Sonic series, Sonic Forces remains the high-speed game experience. To comply with the trend of the time, Sonic Forces reduce the difficulty, hoping using this strategy will attract new players who have never tried this kind of game. Unfortunately, the length is not good enough to satisfy players, and too much repeat content makes this game boring.
Football Manager 2018 – PC – 8.8
23, Nov 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201711/981663.shtml
Football Manager 2018 builds a virtual world which can rival the real one, by using huge and complex database. Many new features in 2018 were designed just to let players experience a more and more realistic manager career.
Star Wars Battlefront II – PS4 – 7.5
21, Nov 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201711/981347.shtml
Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous one. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction parts and character growth problems. First 10 hours of this game is full of surprise, however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
Need for Speed: Payback – PC – 7.5
16, Nov 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201711/979227.shtml
NFS: Payback is full of defects, such as the boring story, highly repeatable missions, useless open world design, and annoying microtransactions. However, it is not terrible enough to get a fail score. This game contains exaggerated and cool controls, exhilarating car chasing, and fascinating background music. If you also enjoy the passionate scenes of Fast & Furious movie series just like me, I think you will love this game anyway.
Death Coming – PC -7.8
13, Nov 2017
http://www.gamersky.com/review/201711/977086.shtml
Death Coming is an outstanding puzzle indie game. Although there are a small number of defects, like the annoying angles, Death Coming is still worth a try, especially for its unique innovation.
